Chromium Oxide Green (CI 77288)
Chromium Oxide Green is an inorganic chemical compound composed of chromium (a hard, steel gray metal) and oxygen which produces a green pigment when heated. Products containing Chromium Oxide Green are NOT approved for use on the lips.
Iron Oxide (77491, 77492, 77499)
Iron Oxide is a naturally occurring chemical compound composed of iron and oxygen. The result is an opaque inorganic pigment which ranges in colors from yellow, orange, red, brown, and black.
Mica (CI 77019)
Mica is a transparent, silicate mineral which is derived from the earth in thin, flexible sheets. Mica is commonly found in igneous and metamorphic rocks and is used to add color and shimmer to cosmetics.
Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891)
Titanium Dioxide is an opaque white mineral which serves as a natural sunscreen and helps to minimize the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
Ultramarines (CI 77007)
Ultramarines are a naturally occurring, inorganic pigment which is derived from Lapis Lazuli ( mineralized limestone). Alternatively, the pigment is created by heating a mixture of clay, sodium carbonate, and sulfur at temperatures above 700 degrees Celsius. The resulting pigment is then crushed, washed, purified, and ground. Products containing ultramarines are NOT approved for use on the lips.
Zinc Oxide (CI 77947)
Zinc Oxide has natural antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties. It also provides broad spectrum UVA/UVB protection.
